“Mood Indigo” by Smith and Semien Sneak Peak

Jun 29, 2010

Come experience 1956 Harlem with this bluesy musical inspired by the legendary writer Langston Hughes!

Bartender and aspiring writer “Langston” joined by Susanna Jones, Ruby Brown, Hattie and Hammond, Alberta K. Johnson and other characters lifted from page to stage for a wild, red hot, bluesy night of flirting, fussin’ and fun!

The comic, sometimes acerbic and soulful wit of Hughes is poetically and skillfully woven into conversations and situations from which show-stopping blues tunes and dances erupt!

Written by Smith & Semien and performed by Urban Arts Theater West the blues never felt so good! Stay tuned for upcoming performance dates.
